Barns Green
The Queens Head is our local
pub offering traditional pub food, beer garden and family
room and is within easy walking distance via footpaths on
the farm or the campsite. They accept credit cards and if
you wish to book their telephone number is 01403 730436.
The Village shop is open every day and offers post office facilities.
There is a small children's playground on the village green
which can be reached via footpaths and so avoiding the road.
Westons Farm Shop, just outside the village offer s a good
selection of local and homegrown produce and much more besides.

Christs Hospital - A beautiful old boarding school, over
100 years old with unusual artchitecture, stretching over
acres of Sussex Countryside.
Southwater - a large village approximately 3.5 miles away
from this site. Southwater's main attraction is it's Country
Park. The new Lintot shopping
square offers a good selection
of local shops including a large co-op supermarket.
Horsham - A
market town that has managed to hold on to its charming
past yet has moved forward with the times. Four miles from
Sumners Ponds, with a good shopping centre offering the
usual high street shopping, large well stocked library and
all other amenities associated with a town this size. The
Causeway is worth a visit to see the 16th Century timber
framed and tile hung houses all originally built over marshland.
Shipley Mill - Shipley windmill is the youngest and the
largest windmill in Sussex. She was built in 1879 for Mr.
Fred Marten by Mr. Grist, millwright of Horsham,
Leonards Lee Gardens - Leonardslee is one of England's most
spectacular gardens, famous for rhododendrons, azaleas and
a wonderful natural woodland setting. |
